Bereavement Support Volunteer-Join our Hospice Team! [Milwaukee Office]

Are you a compassionate listener who wants to bring comfort to others?

We are seeking caring and understanding volunteers to support our Bereavement Coordinator in reaching out to families who have recently experienced the loss of a loved one.

What you will do:

• • Make follow-up phone calls to grieving family members.
  • Send sympathy and remembrance cards.
  • Assist with bereavement mailings and memorial projects.
  • Offer emotional support to those coping with loss.

Requirements:

• • Must be 18 years or older
  • Hospice experience (preferred, not required)
  • Must pass a background check
  • Must have a negative TB test result
  • Reliable, compassionate, and dependable
  • Must provide TWO references
  • Comfortable speaking with patients and families by phone and in person
  • Detail-oriented with a professional attitude
