Seeking Local Maui Volunteer Treasurer for Nonprofit Board - Make a Difference in The Maui Community

We are seeking a passionate and community-minded individual based in Maui or on the island to join our board as a Volunteer Treasurer for Tiny Hoof Animal Therapy (T.H.A.T.). This is a unique opportunity to be part of an inspiring mission and help transform lives through the therapeutic power of animals.

About T.H.A.T. Maui: T.H.A.T. Maui is a nonprofit organization based in Lahaina, Hawaii, at Maui Animal Farm. Since 2020, we have been providing animal-assisted therapy programs to support individuals with autism, emotional challenges, and mental disabilities. Our mission is to foster growth and provide therapy through meaningful interactions with animals, creating lasting connections that positively impact our community. We are in the process of launching a PATH International therapeutic riding program and are building a covered riding arena at the farm. Joining our board means becoming part of a compassionate team dedicated to making a real difference on the island!

Treasurer Key Responsibilities:

Financial Oversight: Ensure the organization’s finances are well-managed with proper accounting and reporting systems.Budget Management: Collaborate with staff and committees to create and monitor the budget.

• Financial Reporting: Keep the board engaged and informed about our financial health by sharing clear and comprehensive updates.

Investment Management: Help guide our investment decisions to maximize our resources and ensure our nonprofit's long-term financial health, allowing us to keep serving the community effectively.

Ideal Candidate:

• Based in Maui or currently living on the island.
• Strong financial background, ideally with experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Understanding of nonprofit financial management and reporting.
• Passion for our mission and a commitment to making a positive impact.
