Access Equestrian is seeking kind and caring volunteers to assist in our adaptive riding programs for school-aged children and adults with developmental disabilities. If you have an interest in working with horses and supporting a diverse community, we encourage you to apply. We particularly welcome LGBTQ and BIPOC volunteers.
Our fall lesson program begins on September 1st and operates Tuesday through Sunday throughout the day. We are specifically looking for program volunteers for immediate placement in our afternoon fall program, requiring a minimum commitment of two hours once per week. Volunteer times will be determined based on placement and your availability.
Volunteer duties are varied and may include barn care, horse handling, leading and sidewalking during lessons, and assisting individuals with disabilities. Our programs are made possible by the dedicated efforts of our volunteers. All volunteers will receive orientation training before beginning, with additional training provided as needed based on placement and experience.
Please note that this is an immediate volunteer opportunity for our fall program.
