Volunteer Prison Ministry Assistant (Tanzania Residents Only) Description:

Good News Jail and Prison Ministry Tanzania is seeking a passionate and dedicated Volunteer Prison Ministry Assistant to support our mission of providing spiritual guidance, emotional support, and rehabilitation services to inmates within the Tanzanian prison system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in facilitating spiritual and health-focused programs for inmates.
• Provide empathetic counseling and guidance to support successful reintegration into society.
• Work alongside our team to inspire dignity, hope, and positive change within the prison community.
• Assist with administrative or technical tasks as needed to support the ministry’s outreach.

Qualifications:

• A strong commitment to rehabilitation and the transformative power of compassion.
• Backgrounds in Nursing, Counseling, Social Work, or Ministry are highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and a patient, non-judgmental attitude.
• Ability to work within a secure facility and follow all prison safety protocols.

Requirement (Please Read):

• Residency: Due to the in-person nature of our work and the legal requirements for accessing Tanzanian prison facilities, all applicants must be current residents of Tanzania. We are unable to process or accept applications from individuals residing outside the country at this time.
