Volunteer Opportunity: Help Provide Safety & Peace of Mind

We are looking for a dependable, calm, and compassionate volunteer to support youth in situations where a change of environment is needed. This role focuses on helping ensure that young individuals can be smoothly and comfortably transported to a stable, supportive home when circumstances call for it.

This is a flexible, on-call opportunity. Situations may arise with short notice, including evenings, and may require a timely response. The ideal volunteer is someone who is steady, reliable, and able to provide a reassuring presence during transitions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond to occasional requests for assistance with youth transportation
• Pick up a youth from a designated location and bring them to a pre-arranged home
• Help create a calm, supportive atmosphere during the transition
• Communicate with coordinators to ensure a smooth and coordinated process

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong sense of responsibility and reliability
• Good judgment and the ability to stay composed in a variety of situations
• A supportive, respectful, and patient demeanor
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
• Some flexibility for occasional evening or short-notice needs

Experience working with youth, community service, or similar roles is helpful but not required. Above all, we value individuals who are dependable, thoughtful, and committed to helping young people feel supported during times of transition.
