About Us:
Delta Rising Foundation accelerates science-based, systemic solutions while building sustainable systems for long-term community impact. We support initiatives in climate solutions, regenerative design, resilience, and sustainability while building AI-driven tools for climate finance. Our work spans digital Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) software, a grant-discovery tool, an agentic climate engine, and biochar carbon projects. We are a growing team of approximately 75 volunteers based in Garden Grove, California.
Role Summary:
The Volunteer Conversion Copywriter will write high-converting landing page copy for our Google Ad Grant campaigns. This is the first project; if it goes well, there's room to expand into broader fundraising and donor communications.
The Ad Grant only works if the copy converts. We need someone who can take technical, mission-driven work and turn it into clear, action-oriented language, without falling into generic nonprofit phrasing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write landing page copy for 3-5 campaign themes (climate finance software, the grant-discovery tool, biochar/soil health work, general donations/awareness).
- Match copy to search intent, someone searching "climate finance software" needs different framing than someone searching "carbon credit verification".
- Write clear calls to action for each page (donate, request a demo, sign up, learn more).
- Work from a value proposition brief we provide, and ask questions where it's thin.
- Revise based on early performance data (click-through rate, conversion rate) once campaigns are live.
Requirements:
- Excellent persuasive writing and copywriting skills.
- Ability to write clear, concise, and action-oriented copy.
- Comfort with technical or unfamiliar subject matter (you don't need a climate background, but you need to be able to learn one fast).
- Plain, concrete writing. No jargon, no generic nonprofit language, no padding.
- Experience with nonprofit, SaaS, or B2B copy is a plus, but not required if your conversion instincts are strong.
