Library Info sessions - Cornell Library Volunteer

York Region Educational Services (YRES) is dedicated to leading community volunteerism as a proud recipient of Canada's Volunteer Award, through providing a wide range of volunteer positions in communities in the Greater Vancouver Area, Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, and Alberta. We are looking for a Library Info session Volunteer—someone devoted to giving back to their community, making an impact, and who loves socializing.

The Networking Event Volunteer is responsible for:

• Greeting visitors
• Conversation support
• Taking photos
• Helping count inventory of items that were brought
• Providing feedback on the event
• Arriving to the event independently

📍 Cornell Library - 3201 Bur Oak Ave, Markham, ON L6B 0T2

Date & Time:

🗓️ Saturday, October 11

Shift: 1pm - 4:30pm

Who We're Looking For:

• Minimum age: 12
• Passionate about volunteering and open to learning new skills and softwares
• Complete training prior to start date
• Can commit to the shift schedule

Bonus Skills:

• Fluency/high proficiency in a language other than English
• Previous volunteer experience
