This role is a vital part of a quality donations and volunteer program that enhances Veterans' healthcare in Philadelphia. The administrative volunteer answers phones and greets visitors, employees and volunteers at the office; works on a variety of administrative projects, including writing the volunteer newsletter; organizes donations; coordinates donations drop-offs; and updates marketing materials. Additional projects may also be assigned, including volunteer file management, and updating contact information. This volunteer role supports the Corporal Michael J. Crescenz's mission to honor America's Veterans by providing exceptional health care that improves their health and well-being.
Working knowledge of MS Office, including Excel, Word and Publisher, and good customer service skills, are desired. This is a great opportunity for either a knowledgeable professional who can come into the office during business hours (Monday-Friday, 8am to 4pm), or a college/graduate student seeking experience in healthcare administrative operations, fundraising, marketing or public relations.
