Endoscopy

Purpose:

Volunteers help the staff in the Endoscopy Department in various ways: transporting patients, answering phone calls, stocking supplies, etc.

Responsibilities:

- Greet patients, show them where to go.

- Assist in transporting patients in wheelchairs when necessary.

- Take post-op charts back to nurses? station and hang in rack.

- Keep visitors lounge looking neat, straighten up magazines, etc.

- Take specimens down to lab when asked.

- Assemble paper work for charts.

- Empty shredding bin when full.

- Answer phones and transfer calls as needed.

- Get charts ready for the next day.

- Assist with cleaning and prepping rooms for the next patient.

- Fold patient gowns placing them on the bed.
