RMPBS KIDS - Be My Neighbor Day - Denver, February 14th

Event Description

Be My Neighbor Day is a community celebration inspired by Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, designed to bring families together for a joyful day of learning, play, and connection. The event features Storytime with PPLD, a high-energy Daniel Tiger Dance Party, a WeeCycle baby-bag service project, and a hallway of local community partners sharing helpful family resources. Volunteers will help welcome families, support activity stations, guide guests between event areas, and ensure a warm, safe, and engaging experience for all. This opportunity is perfect for volunteers who enjoy working with young children, supporting community partnerships, and being part of a lively, hands-on event. The day will feature:

• Interactive Storytime experiences
• A Daniel Tiger Dance Party with movement and music
• A hands-on WeeCycle baby-bag service project
• Community partners sharing family-focused resources

Volunteer Details

📅 Date: Saturday, February 14, 2026

🕘 Shift: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (includes setup and teardown)

📍 Location: CSU Spur

4777 National Western Dr, Denver, CO 80216

👥 Volunteers Needed: 18–20

Volunteer Roles Include:

• Welcome & Check-In
• Activity Station Support (Dance Party, Storytime, Baby Bags, Hall of Helpers)
• Wayfinders
• Runners / Floaters
• Set-Up & Tear-Down

Additional Information

• Lunch will be provided for all volunteers.
• Volunteers are encouraged to share this opportunity with family, friends, and neighbors who may also wish to participate.
