Club Advisor

Cristo Rey Research Triangle High School is seeking enthusiastic adult volunteers to serve as Club Advisors during the 2026 to 2027 school year.

We are currently looking for advisors for the following student clubs:

• Chess Club
• Gaming Club
• STEM Club
• Art and Dance Club
• Explorer Station, including Boys Scouts and Girls Scouts activities

We are also open to creating additional clubs based on the interests, experience, talents, and expertise of prospective Club Advisors. Volunteers with an idea for a new club are encouraged to contact us.

Clubs will meet on Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:25 p.m., beginning Wednesday, September 9, 2026.

Club Advisors will help students explore their interests, develop leadership skills, build positive relationships, and strengthen our school community.

Club Advisor Responsibilities

• Attend and supervise scheduled club meetings
• Help students plan activities, projects, competitions, or performances
• Create a welcoming, engaging, and safe environment
• Encourage student leadership and participation
• Communicate regularly with the Cristo Rey Student Life Team
• Follow all school safety, volunteer, and supervision expectations

Volunteer Requirements

All volunteers must:

• Complete Safe Environment Training
• Successfully pass a background check
• Follow Cristo Rey volunteer and student safety policies
• Demonstrate a commitment to supporting and mentoring high school students
• Be available on Wednesdays from 11:30 a.m. to 12:25 p.m.

No teaching experience is required. Volunteers should have an interest or experience in a club area, enjoy working with high school students, and be dependable and supportive.
