Volunteer Companion for Older Adult- Morris County, NJ

We are seeking a compassionate volunteer to spend time with an older adult living in the Morris County area. He is an 80+ year-old retired chemist who enjoys meaningful conversation, sharing stories about his life, discussing classic cars, and connecting with others. He is living in the community with the support of a dedicated caregiver and court-appointed guardian, and we are hoping to find someone who would enjoy visiting him for companionship, conversation, or even a simple walk or cup of coffee once a week. He has been diagnosed with dementia, but he remains very social and genuinely enjoys interacting with people. A friendly visit can make a meaningful difference in his quality of life while providing an opportunity for someone to give back to their community in a personal and rewarding way. Volunteers will be asked to complete a brief application and undergo a background check before being matched.
