Volunteer with VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance)

With no previous experience required, you can help Benjamin Rose to prepare free personal income taxes for people in the community. In this position, volunteers help to file free and accessible taxes for middle to low-income adults at one of our free tax clinics between February 2024 and April 2024 as a part of our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program (VITA).

Volunteers are provided with free basic and advanced training through the Cuyahoga EITC Coalition and are provided with orientation to Benjamin Rose and your specific role. , Many of the trainings are offered virtually. Tax Preparer Volunteers help to review taxpayer information, enter information into the electronic filing software, and provide high-quality tax preparation within their certification level and the scope of the program.

We have multiple locations with weekday and weekend availability.
