Compassionate Connections Volunteer

Project Details

Volunteer Responsibilities Include:

• Making friendly “tuck-in” phone calls to patients’ caregivers
• Documenting outreach efforts to help our care team stay connected with families
• Preparing and sending mailings (bereavement letters, birthday cards)
• Putting together meaningful support packages for those we serve

Location:

Baseline & Gilbert area (Arizona)

Requirements to Serve:

• 18 years or older
• Valid Arizona Driver’s License
• Negative Tuberculosis (TB) test (provided free in our office)
• Background check
• Drug screening
• Completion of a 2-hour in-person training

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Comfortable speaking on the phone
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Respectful of confidentiality
• Comfortable working with computers and basic office software
• Able to use standard office technology
• Someone who enjoys supporting others behind the scenes
• Training and ongoing support are provided.

You may never fully see the impact of a call, a card, or a prepared care package — but the families who receive them will feel it.
