Military Outreach Coordinator (Volunteer, Remote) — Reach Military Families Before Deployment Does

Military families cannot use programs they have never heard of. Dogs on Deployment connects deploying service members with volunteer pet boarders, but only if families know we exist before the orders arrive. As a Military Outreach Coordinator, you build the relationships that get us in front of families at exactly the right moment.

What you will do:

• Build relationships with family readiness offices, spouse clubs, USOs, and base support organizations
• Introduce Dogs on Deployment as a resource for pre-deployment briefs and installation family resources
• Get our program information and materials into the hands of the people military families turn to
• Track your outreach and share what is working with the team

Dogs on Deployment is a national 501(c)(3) nonprofit founded in 2011 by two military pilots. Through our Hero Pet Boarding Network and financial assistance programs, we make sure no service member ever has to choose between their duty and their pet. You do not need a military background to serve, though for this role a connection to the military community is a strong asset. Our volunteers work in supportive teams with a regular meeting rhythm, real ownership, and a mission you can feel.
