Descripción
Alpha Omega Hospice is seeking certified dogs (with their owners) to provide friendly visits to our hospice patients and their families. Dogs needs to be certified by a dog certifying organization such as Pet Partners and must be current on shots and dog license.
Pets bring much love and comfort to those facing life limiting illnesses. These furry pets bring great joy to hospice patients.
Alpha Omega Hospice is looking for Patient & Dog Volunteers to be COMPANIONS for some of our Patients! If you & your certified pup have 1 hour per week to devote to Volunteering, we'd love to hear from you!
Activities that our Hospice Volunteers do with their Patient:
- Life review
- Discuss hobbies, interest & current events
- Read or sing to Patient
- Accompany Patient outside if appropriate
- Provide companionship & socialization
- Monitor & report progress to hospice team
We appreciate your consideration to share your time & your pet with a hospice patient.
