Role Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor (Social Media) to help transform our field footage, research visuals, and storytelling content into compelling short-form videos. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys visual storytelling, understands social media trends, and wants to apply their editing skills to meaningful conservation work.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form videos for platforms including Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook Reels, and YouTube Shorts
- Create engaging, platform-optimized edits using provided footage, photos, and audio
- Add captions, subtitles, music, and basic motion graphics as needed
- Collaborate with the Pathos Wildlife team to align videos with ongoing projects and campaigns
- Adapt content to current social media trends while maintaining brand consistency
- Organize and deliver edited content in a timely manner
Preferred Skills
- Experience editing short-form video content (personal, academic, or professional)
- Proficiency with video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, DaVinci Resolve, or similar)
- Strong sense of pacing, storytelling, and visual flow
- Familiarity with social media formats, aspect ratios, and trends
- Interest in wildlife conservation, science, or environmental storytelling
