About the Single Parent Advocacy Program

The Single Parent Advocacy (SPA) Program supports single-parent caregivers by helping them access resources, navigate challenges, and connect with opportunities that strengthen their families. Our services include advocacy, employment and resume assistance, academic support, resource referrals, and community forums that encourage connection, education, and empowerment.

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and community-minded Program Coordinator to help strengthen and expand this program.

Position Overview

The SPA Program Coordinator will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of program activities while helping build meaningful relationships with single-parent caregivers, community partners, volunteers, and resource providers.

This is an opportunity for someone passionate about family advocacy, community service, and making resources more accessible to families who need them.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate SPA program activities, workshops, forums, and community events.
• Help connect single-parent caregivers with community resources and support services.
• Build relationships with nonprofit organizations, schools, businesses, and community partners.
• Assist with volunteer recruitment, engagement, and coordination.
• Support outreach efforts to increase program participation and awareness.
• Maintain organized program records, track participation, and assist with reporting.
• Collaborate with ImpactHumanity leadership to identify community needs and improve program services.

Qualifications

• Passion for supporting single-parent families and underserved communities.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
• Experience in nonprofit programs, social services, family advocacy, community outreach, or volunteer coordination is preferred but not required.
• Dependable, compassionate, and committed to treating all families with dignity and respect.
