We provide a stable home environment, on-site daycare, and holistic support so mothers can work toward their educational, personal, and career goals. Position Overview

We are seeking very consistent, reliable, and nurturing Baby Cuddlers and Child Care Support for the children who live at The Well of Mercy. This volunteer role is open only to women, and plays a vital part in helping mothers focus on building a stable foundation for their families.

Baby Cuddlers provide loving, gentle support to infants and young children under the supervision of our daycare staff. Your presence helps ensure that every child receives the warmth and attention they need, while their mothers pursue school, work, and long-term goals.

What You’ll Do

• Comfort, soothe, and play with infants and young children
• Support our on-site daycare staff with simple, hands-on assistance
• Provide gentle engagement - holding, reading, singing, or quiet play
• Help maintain a warm, safe, consistent, emotionally supportive environment
• Offer stability and kindness to children whose mothers are working hard to rebuild their lives

• Women who are patient, nurturing, and consistent
• Individuals who love babies and enjoy caring for young children
• Reliability - showing up when scheduled is essential for our daycare team
• Good communication and willingness to work collaboratively with staff
• Gentle, calm presence and respect for trauma-informed care
• No prior professional childcare experience required - just a loving heart

Time Commitment

• Weekday (M-TH) availability is highly needed
• Tuesday evenings are a top priority
• Flexible scheduling - we will work with your availability
• Approximately 2–4 hours per shift
