Volunteer Director of Fundraising

International Social Work Solutions, Inc (ISWS) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to assisting with the world’s most vulnerable communities. Our mission is to empower underserved communities globally with access to highly qualified and experienced social workers who convey the social work values in helping to address the problems of poverty, exploitation, or marginalization. We accomplish our mission by enabling volunteers and local country partner organizations to work side-by-side to address pressing social problems and assist local human service and health care professionals to meet community needs. Our sponsored social work volunteers support in-country programs either remotely or on the ground, with ISWS providing financial support for in-country and travel expenses, where applicable.

We are currently looking for a Volunteer Director of Fundraising for our nonprofit Executive Board of Directors. We are a 100% volunteer-run nonprofit.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include developing a cohesive fundraising and development strategy and monitoring the fundraising committee. Board meeting commitment includes 1x per month, approximately 2 hours, with any additional responsibilities/commitments.

Qualifications:

Candidates should have a background in fundraising/development and a general understanding of board management. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of international social work is not required.
