Volunteer Drivers in West Seattle Make a Difference

Give Rides to Change Lives!

Volunteer drivers for Sound Generations' Volunteer Transportation Servcies use their own vehicle (mileage reimbursement is an option) to help older adults maintain their independence. Volunteers take riders, who must be 60 years and older, to and from medically necessary appointments. Riders are enormously grateful for improved access to medical care, meaningful interactions with caring volunteers, and increased peace of mind.

This opportunity is extremely FLEXIBLE: volunteers choose the days, times, frequency, and areas in which they want to drive. Many volunteer drivers choose a couple of rides a week, though some give more rides and some less. Each week can be different if that's what works.
