Opticians and Optometric Laboratory Technicians

ECN Purpose is excited to expand its eyewear program to provide an even greater impact within our community.

ECN Purpose currently has a generous supply of donated frames and is exploring solutions for lens manufacturing. To support this effort, ECN Purpose is seeking volunteer opticians and ophthalmic laboratory technicians to contribute their expertise in optometric consulting, prescription lens fabrication, lens fitting, and frame adjustments. ECN Purpose is specifically looking for optical partnerships to fabricate lenses and assemble glasses at the partner’s laboratory site or at the partner’s direction. ECN Purpose will provide the needed lens material and supplies and will coordinate drop-off and completion at a time convenient to your schedule.

Opticians are also needed at our events to help eyewear recipients in the selection of frames and interpreting prescriptions, including taking appropriate measurements such as pupillary distance and segment height.
