About Camp Casco

Camp Casco provides free summer camps and year-round programs for children affected by cancer, including patients, survivors, and their siblings. Our programs create joyful experiences and supportive community for families navigating one of life’s most difficult journeys.

We’re looking for a volunteer website designer with Squarespace experience to help us refine and elevate our existing website.

About the Project

Our website is already built and functional in Squarespace. We’re not looking for a full redesign or structural overhaul. Instead, we’re hoping to work with a designer who can help us polish and enhance the existing design so it feels cohesive, professional, and distinctly Camp Casco.

This project will focus on improving the visual design and user experience across the site.

Examples of areas we’d love help with:

• Ensuring pages look great across desktop, mobile, and tablet
• Cleaning up spacing, alignment, and layout consistency
• Adding thoughtful graphic touches and visual elements that bring our brand to life
• Helping certain pages feel more intentional, polished, and complete
• Implementing design ideas within Squarespace’s capabilities

We have a brand book and visual guidelines available to guide the work.

Ideal Skills

• Experience designing or editing websites in Squarespace
• Strong eye for clean layout, typography, and visual hierarchy
• Ability to enhance a site’s design without needing to rebuild it from scratch
• Interest in nonprofit work and mission-driven organizations
• Comfort collaborating remotely and offering design suggestions

Estimated Time Commitment

Approximately 15–25 hours total, depending on the level of refinement and the volunteer’s recommendations. The project timeline is flexible and can be completed in stages.
