The Central Florida Birth Network is looking for passionate and reliable volunteers for our third annual Taste of Midwifery: A Birth and Baby Expo, held in honor of International Day of the Midwife.
Event Details
Date: Saturday May 2
Time: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM (volunteers must arrive by 8:00 AM)
Location: Lake Lily Park in Maitland FL
Taste of Midwifery is a community-centered event designed to reduce maternal and infant mortality and support healthier families across Central Florida. We connect families with midwives, doulas, and holistic health professionals, while raising awareness about the midwifery model of care and the power of informed, respectful birth experiences.
We need volunteers who are:
- Committed to health equity and family wellness
- Comfortable standing and moving outdoors for several hours
- Available to stay the full event time from setup at 7:00 AM through wrap-up at 1:00 PM
Additional Volunteer Info:
- All volunteers must attend a virtual training on Saturday April 18
- If you haven’t already selected a role, one will be assigned during the training
- Lunch will be provided during the event
- The event is outdoors, so please dress for sun and comfort
This is a great opportunity to be part of a growing movement toward safer births and stronger families in our communities.

Thank you for your interest in supporting Taste of Midwifery: A Birth and Baby Expo. 💜 This in-person event will take place in Maitland, Florida, and we’re so excited to bring our Central Florida birth and wellness community together to celebrate the midwifery model of care.
Volunteers should live within driving distance of Maitland and be available for both virtual and in-person planning meetings. Every role helps our vision come to life, and your time and energy truly make a difference.
