About Us:
LBOD Foundation is dedicated to transforming the lives of families led by single mothers overcoming substance abuse issues. Through programs, advocacy, and community partnerships, we provide the support and resources these women need to build strong, thriving futures for themselves and their children.
Role Overview:
We’re seeking a passionate and committed Community Outreach Volunteer to help us strengthen our direct connection with the families we serve. While our team has built strong partnerships with community organizations, we need additional support to reach our target demographic more directly. This volunteer will play a key role in bridging that gap by serving as the face and voice of LBOD Foundation at community events, partner sites, and outreach opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Visit partner organizations to share LBOD Foundation’s mission and programs
- Build relationships with potential program participants and their families
- Help identify and connect with single mothers in need of our services
- Serve as a liaison between the community and LBOD Foundation
- Collect feedback and insights from families to strengthen our outreach efforts
- Support the promotion of LBOD Foundation events
Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable engaging with diverse community members in a variety of settings
- Reliable, professional, and passionate about LBOD Foundation’s mission
- Experience in community engagement, outreach, or social services is helpful but not required
- Must be 18+ years old
Time Commitment:
Flexible scheduling with a minimum commitment of 5–10 hours per month. Some evening or weekend availability may be needed for community events.
Location:
Chicago, IL (in-person outreach at partner sites and community locations).
