News/Research Writer Internship

As an intern for the organization, you will help share the stories behind our mission, support community initiatives, expand research on food insecurity, analyze the role music has in bringing communities together, and more. Interns will also help educate, inspire, and engage readers while highlighting the impact of all our chapters, the nonprofit as a whole, etc.

The news writer internship is very selective. Only five to ten total positions exist for this internship. All interns automatically get letters of recommendation in addition to more volunteer hours based on how much work is done.

Description of News Writer Internship: In this internship, an individual is expected to write one article or paper per two weeks. Writers will receive one volunteer hour per article and are expected to log each article on the Intern Writer google sheet. The topics for these papers can vary extensively from research on food insecurity to Meals & Melodies events, analysis on related topics, and related research.
