VOLUNTEER POSITION DESCRIPTION: PEOPLE & CULTURE TEAM VOLUNTEER

Department: People & Culture (Community Engagement)

Reports to: Community Engagement Lead, Dakota Gipson

Time Commitment: 5-10 hours/week (add 20 to visa letter, consider other duties) Duration: 3–5 months

Location: Remote (occasional local event attendance optional but welcomed)

Position Overview

Join the YourPassion1st People & Culture team and help us empower young adults while strengthening our community relationships. We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to support our mission through meaningful outreach, relationship building, and community engagement. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to transform communities by inspiring young adults to leverage their passion through mentorships, collaborative events, and innovative workshops.

Key Responsibilities

As a volunteer with our People & Culture team, you may support us in various capacities, including:

• Communication & Outreach: Reach out to donors, sponsors, and community members via email, phone, and in-person interactions
• Relationship Management: Maintain and nurture relationships with supporters, donors, and program participants
• Written Communication: Draft compelling emails, updates, thank-you notes, and newsletter content
• Event Support: Assist with fundraising events, community gatherings, and volunteer coordination
• Administrative Support: Help manage donor databases, track communications, and maintain organizational records
• Donor & Sponsor Relations: Share our mission with potential supporters and steward existing relationships
• Community Engagement: Support in-person outreach events and community-building activities
