Our organization is located in a city populated by many people who would want to support our organization, if only they were given the opportunity. We're looking for a board member with experience and enthusiasm for fundraising event planning and coordination, nonprofit experience a definite plus.
This would entail scouting for venues, entertainment, and catering by donation or reduced rate, planning fundraising events, and providing information to other volunteers for help decorating and running each event.
We would like to have at least one annual fundraising gala, with smaller events throughout the year that could be coordinated with other similar organizations.
Any individuals with these skills and interests located in or familiar with the Asheville, NC area are encouraged to contact us.
