ViaQuest Hospice provides compassionate end-of-life care that honors the dignity, comfort, and wishes of each patient and their family. Volunteers are a vital part of our care team, offering presence, support, and comfort during one of life’s most meaningful journeys.
Position Summary:
As a ViaQuest Hospice Volunteer, you’ll provide non-medical support to patients and their families. No clinical experience is needed-just a kind heart and a willingness to help. We’ll provide the training and support you need to make a difference.
Volunteer Roles May Include:
- Offering companionship and emotional support to patients
- Reading aloud, playing music, or sharing conversation
- Providing respite for family caregivers
- Assisting with light errands or administrative tasks
- Supporting special projects and events
What We’re Looking For:
- A compassionate, reliable individual with good listening skills
- 18 years or older
- Ability to pass a background check and complete required training
- Respectful of all backgrounds, beliefs, and identities
- Comfortable with the hospice philosophy and being present with those at end-of-life
