Food Pantry Ministry / Food Distribution

Our ministry is looking for volunteers to participate in our weekly Drive-Thru Food Pantry. We need volunteers to assist with stocking food items, packaging, distribution and clean-up.

Mondays 9:00am-12:00pm we do the following: pick up food items, proceed to the ministry to package certain food items if needed and stock items in our food pantry; break down cardboard boxes and light clean-up at the end of the shift.

Fridays 8:30am-6:00pm consists of two (2) shifts: Morning Shift 8:30am-11:30am and Afternoon Shift 2:30pm - 6:00pm.

Morning Shift 8:30am - 11:30am: consists of prepping / packing dry goods/ canned goods / non-perishable food items for distribution.

Afternoon Shift 2:30pm - 6:00pm:

2:30pm - 4:00pm consists of recipient management, prepping / packaging cold items / perishable food items for distribution;

Food Distribution 4:00pm - 6:00pm we serve the public.

As we host our drive-thru food distribution and the public must remain in their vehicles at all times. Walk-ups are okay.

Our volunteers are expected to attend a Volunteer Orientation Meeting prior to starting. We will also provide volunteers with our food pantry handbook, outlining food and safety expectations for all volunteers and ministry staff.
