Olive Branch Hospice Volunteer - Lawrenceville, Snellville, Grayson, Loganville, Monroe

Olive Branch Hospice is currently seeking volunteers to provide companionship and caregiver relief to our hospice patients and their families. This is an incredibly meaningful opportunity for young people, seniors, people curious about end-of-life work, pre-med students looking to gain pre-clinical experience, or anyone interested in making an impact in their community. This listing is specifically for Lawrenceville, Snellville, Grayson, Loganville, Monroe and surrounding areas.

Listed below are a majority of the job duties that a volunteer can perform with a patient:

1. Provide Companionship (sit with patient in conversation, listen to stories, visit together)
2. Provide Caregiver Relief (allow the caregiver personal time to themselves during your visit)
3. Activities Together: Play a game, do a puzzle, read to patient, watch a movie, listen to music, other leisure activities
4. Light Housekeeping/Help with Meal Preparation: Empty the dishwasher, help with dishes, put in laundry, warm up a microwave meal
5. Administrative Help - Assist in the Olive Branch Office. Help office staff with filing, facility binders, bereavement cards and more (office located in Northlake/Tucker area)
