🤝Inspire students side by side—join our group tutoring team! 🤝
Join School on Wheels for group tutoring sessions, a welcoming and safe space where children and youth experiencing homelessness gather to learn, grow, and feel supported.
Our group tutoring programs run once a week for one hour and provide academic help, enrichment activities, and—most importantly—consistent, caring adults who believe in our students.
As a volunteer, you might help with homework, reading, math, art projects, or simply offer encouragement and stability at the end of a long day.
You don’t need teaching experience—just patience, compassion, and a willingness to show up. We provide training, materials, and ongoing support so you’ll feel confident and prepared.
Plus you’ll get to work alongside other passionate tutors at the group tutoring site!
▶️We have active group tutoring sites in Huntington Beach and Los Alamitos. We’d love for you to join us!
Your time truly matters. Volunteers help students build confidence, strengthen skills, and rediscover the joy of learning.
Thank you for your interest in School on Wheels! We’ll be reaching out with more info about our application process but you can get a head start on the process here.
