Use Your Musical Gift to Comfort Hospice Patients (In-Person)

Location: Various patient facilities or homes throughout Orange County

Time Commitment: Flexible (1–3 hrs/week)

Description:

Use the healing power of music to bring peace and comfort to hospice patients. As a music companion volunteer, you'll provide in-person patient support through song, instruments, or calming musical presence. This is a unique opportunity to combine your musical talent with meaningful community service.

Responsibilities:

• • Visit hospice patients in person to provide musical companionship
  • Offer gentle conversation, presence, and emotional support
  • Document visit notes (training provided)
  • Maintain boundaries and confidentiality
  • Follow safety and infection-control guidelines(training provided)

We’re Looking For:

Kind, reliable volunteers who enjoy using music to comfort others. Must have dependable transportation and be comfortable visiting patients in homes or care facilities.

Training Provided:

Comprehensive hospice training, communication skills, documentation, and guidance on creating safe, supportive musical visits.
