Volunteer Opportunity: Fundraising Committee Lead
Organization: God’s Messenger of Victorious People (GMOVP) Location: Hybrid (San Antonio, TX preferred) Time Commitment: 6-10 hours/week (flexible based on campaign cycles) Reports to: Director of Community Impact & Strategic Initiatives
Position Summary
The Fundraising Committee Lead will spearhead GMOVP’s efforts to secure financial resources that sustain and expand our programs for the unsheltered. This volunteer leader will develop and execute fundraising strategies, cultivate donor relationships, and lead a team of volunteers to meet campaign goals.
This role is essential to GMOVP’s growth and long-term sustainability, with opportunities to shape impactful initiatives and expand community support.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy Development: Design and implement fundraising plans aligned with GMOVP’s mission and goals
- Campaign Leadership: Organize and lead fundraising events, online campaigns, and donor drives
- Donor Engagement: Cultivate relationships with individual donors, businesses, and faith-based partners
- Team Coordination: Recruit and guide fundraising volunteers; delegate tasks and track progress
- Grant Support: Collaborate on grant research and proposal development
- Reporting: Monitor fundraising performance and provide regular updates to leadership
Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising, development, or donor relations (preferred but not required)
- Strong communication, organization, and leadership skills
- Ability to inspire and mobilize volunteers and supporters
- Passion for GMOVP’s mission and a heart for serving the unsheltered
- Familiarity with donor platforms (e.g., Zeffy, PayPal, GoFundMe) is a plus
