Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive 2026

“Stamp Out Hunger” is a nationwide food drive held on Saturday, May 9th, in partnership with the National Association of Letter Carriers, the National Rural Letter Carriers’ Association, and the United States Postal Service. Letter carriers will collect food donations left on residents’ doorsteps and deliver them to their local post offices.

Utah Food Bank staff and volunteers will be onsite to unload, sort, and prepare donations for transport to the Utah Food Bank warehouse..

Volunteer Responsibilities

• Unload food donations from mail carrier trucks
• Sort items (cans and non-cans)
• Load donations into Utah Food Bank trucks

Important Information

• Closed-toe shoes are required (no sandals or flip-flops).
• Dress for the weather — this is an outdoor event, rain or shine.
• Volunteers must be at least 12 years old.
• Adult leaders must remain onsite to supervise youth groups.
• Volunteers should be able to work an active shift that includes moderate to heavy lifting.
• If you need verification of volunteer hours for school or work, please notify a staff member upon arrival.
• Court-ordered community service hours cannot be completed at this event.
