Assistant Coach and Program Support for our Soccer Program

Volunteer with Hollywood PAL's sports program to help drive change in the lives of underserved youth!

Sessions are Thursdays 5:00-8:00pm and Saturdays in the Hollywood area.

Why: Hollywood PAL supports Los Angeles at risk youth in under-resourced communities to live a healthy and thriving life. Your presence can make a significant difference in a young person's direction and life choices. The majority of our youth need extra support getting through challenging life circumstances and processing their traumas in healthy and safe ways.

Who: Hollywood PAL drives positive change in the community we serve by partnering with LAPD and school-aged youth in programs that celebrate diversity, equity, and inclusion and inspire personal excellence, social awareness, and civic engagement. Our sports programs focus on providing equal access to all youth to engage in fitness activities and team sports by providing a safe place for our youth to develop their fitness and socio-emotional strengths in order to imprint long term habits of a healthy lifestyle.

What to Expect: With the mentorship and support of LAPD officers and community volunteers our youth learn essential life skills such as teamwork, resilience and sportsmanship.

• Support the lead coach with general tasks for trainings and games
• Help with sign in, nutrition breaks and parent volunteers

What's Required:

• Please be available consistently Thursday evenings and Saturdays
• Good communication skills and reliability
• Positive attitude with youth
• Passion for helping young people
• Basic knowledge of soccer
