Who We Are
Paragon Cooperative is a rural, BIPOC & LGBTQ+ led farming and community development cooperative in Plains, Georgia. Our mission is to rehabilitate land, build equitable live-work-play spaces, and create sustainable pathways for underserved communities through farming, housing, green energy, and collective ownership.
Why Volunteer with Us

What Volunteers Will Do
Volunteers can contribute in multiple meaningful ways, no experience required. Opportunities include:
Land, Farm & Sustainability Support
- Planting, gardening, land clearing, and general groundskeeping
- Assisting with sustainable agriculture and green-energy projects
- Helping prepare the land for community spaces and cooperative farms
Community Building & Housing Support
- Supporting the setup and maintenance of community spaces
- Assisting with minor/major repairs, painting, cleaning, and organizing
- Helping prepare housing units and shared areas for cooperative members
Transportation & Logistics Support (New Section Added)
- Helping transport items, supplies, tools, and equipment between supply partner locations and the project site
- Loading, unloading, and moving materials to support land work, repairs, or community projects
- Supporting maintenance needs by assisting with hauling trash, recyclables, construction materials, soil, plants, and donated goods
- Using personal vehicles (if able) to help transport small items or coordinate pickup of donated supplies
- Providing general on-site logistical support to ensure smooth project operations
Administrative & Outreach Support
- Assisting with volunteer coordination, scheduling, or event planning
- Supporting community outreach, communications, and community engagement
- Helping promote sustainability, education programs, and cooperative initiatives
