Almayzab Digital Library is a non-profit national initiative in Sudan dedicated to providing free and open digital access to knowledge for universities, researchers, and academic institutions.

Our mission is to support education, research, and the digital transformation of libraries through sustainable and inclusive technology solutions.

🧑‍💻 Role Overview

We are looking for passionate Volunteer Full Stack Developers who want to contribute their skills to a meaningful, impact-driven project that supports academic communities and open knowledge.

💡 What You’ll Work On

Volunteers will help build and improve a scalable digital library platform by working on:

• Backend development using Laravel or Node.js
• Frontend development with React.js or Next.js
• Building and integrating REST APIs
• Implementing authentication systems (SSO / OAuth / SAML)
• Improving performance, scalability, and user experience
• Supporting Arabic and English interfaces

⭐ Nice to Have (Optional)

The project is closely related to digital library systems and institutional repositories. Contributors may also engage with:

• Digital Library Systems
• Institutional Repositories
• Metadata standards such as Dublin Core
• Protocols like OAI-PMH
• Modern approaches involving AI tools or SaaS platforms
• Multi-language applications (Arabic / English)

Interest in educational, open-source, or social impact projects is highly valued.
