Ascend Hospice is offering volunteer opportunities for compassionate, empathetic individuals
who want to enhance lives by giving their time to others in their community. Volunteers
can make friendly visits to a patient, create crafts for patients and families, and assist our office
staff. Ascend Hospice also utilizes the gifts and talents of alternative practitioners, such as
massage therapists, reiki therapists, pet therapists and music therapists.
Volunteers receive training; hours range from one to two hours per week and a commitment of one year is preferred. Access to transportation is preferred as there are limited opportunities on the GRTC bus line.
