Days and Hours: Weekly, Mon-Thurs, 4:00-7:00, Friday 3:00-6:00
Volunteer Role Description: Support school-age students in Karl Road Branch's after school space, helping with homework assignments (including math up to 10th grade), reading instruction, ESL and ELL, and supporting other skill-building activities.
Skills Requested: Interest in working with a diverse population of youth of all ages and grades, comfort with offering guidance on completing school work, including the use of school and library learning resources, and a positive and patient approach to offering this support. Bi-lingual in English and Somali, Arabic, and/or Spanish a plus.
Preferred Commitment: Weekly volunteer service preferred.
