Medium Platform Branding & Marketing Specialist - Volunteer for Scam Prevention

Join weAFAR, a newly formed IRS-approved nonprofit with a big mission: supporting survivors of scams and financial fraud and promoting practical prevention strategies.

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented volunteer to serve as our Medium Branding & Marketing Specialist. You will apply weAFAR’s visual identity (logo, colors, typography) to our Medium portal, ensuring posts and graphics look professional, credible, and mission-aligned.

Responsibilities:

• Apply finalized weAFAR branding consistently across the Medium portal.
• Design and refresh graphics, banners, headers, and cover images for posts to reflect a polished nonprofit presence.
• Create branded templates and visual assets for Medium articles.
• Collaborate with leadership and brand designer to maintain brand consistency.
• Ensure content is approachable, trustworthy, and visually engaging.

Ideal Volunteer:

• Experience with branding implementation, graphic design, or visual storytelling.
• Comfortable with Medium, Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar tools.
• Creative, mission-aligned, reliable, and collaborative.
• Passion for helping scam survivors and preventing financial fraud.
