Board of Directors – Nonprofit Leadership & Community Impact | Janice’s Women’s Center

Help Shape the Future of Janice’s Women’s Center!

Janice’s Women’s Center is seeking 4–5 dedicated, community-minded professionals to join our Board of Directors as we prepare for an exciting new chapter of growth in 2027.

Founded in December 2020, Janice’s Women’s Center is an Arizona nonprofit organization committed to supporting women and families experiencing domestic violence, homelessness, and housing instability. Through direct assistance, resource navigation, advocacy, and community partnerships, we work to bridge critical gaps and help families move toward safety and stability.

As we expand our reach throughout Greater Phoenix and the West Valley, we are building a strong, engaged board that can help guide our organization's long-term sustainability, strengthen community partnerships, and increase our impact.

We are especially seeking individuals with experience in:

    • Executive leadership and strategic planning
    • Finance, accounting, and nonprofit financial oversight
    • Fundraising, philanthropy, and corporate sponsorships
    • Legal affairs, public policy, and government relations
    • Housing, social services, and community development

    Board Member Responsibilities:

    • Participate in board meetings and strategic planning.
    • Provide governance, financial oversight, and organizational guidance.
    • Support fundraising initiatives and resource development.
    • Help establish meaningful community and corporate partnerships.
    • Serve as an ambassador for the organization's mission.
    • Contribute professional expertise and actively support organizational goals.

    Who Should Apply?

We welcome professionals, business owners, executives, community leaders, and individuals passionate about creating meaningful change. Previous nonprofit board experience is valuable but not required.

This is an unpaid, volunteer leadership position. We are seeking individuals who are committed to active participation, collaboration, accountability, and helping build a sustainable organization.

Location: Greater Phoenix, Arizona, with a focus on West Valley expansion.

    Recruitment Deadline: November 10, 2026.

Our Vision for 2027: Build a stronger organizational foundation, expand strategic partnerships, increase financial sustainability, and strengthen our ability to serve women and families throughout Arizona.

We are not simply filling board seats. We are building a team of leaders ready to turn purpose into measurable community impact.
