Bring joy to an older New Yorker, just by picking up the phone.

JASAChat connects volunteers with older adults in New York City for weekly phone or video chat. These friendly check-ins help reduce social isolation and build meaningful, intergenerational friendships.

• Flexible commitment: Just 15-60 minutes a week, scheduled around your availability
• Remote opportunity: All you need is a phone or internet access
• Over 750 long-lasting matches have been made to date!
• 3-month minimum initial commitment
• Volunteers must be 18+
• Background check required (at no cost to you)
• Volunteers attend a 45-minute virtual training and receive support throughout the duration of your relationship!
