Empowering Korean Immigrants (EKI) is a Canada based nonprofit organization that provides free English and Korean tutoring, translation support, and literacy programs to Korean immigrant families and youth. Our mission is to break language barriers, support education, and promote inclusion within newcomer communities.
We are currently recruiting Volunteer Tutors and Interns for the Winter 2025 Semester. Volunteers will work with students in one on one or small group online sessions through Google Meet, one hour a week. Subjects may include English, Korean, reading, writing, and conversation practice. All teaching materials, lesson guidance, and support are provided by EKI.
This opportunity is ideal for students interested in education, social work, linguistics, community engagement, psychology, sociology, or nonprofit leadership. Volunteers will gain hands on teaching experience, mentorship, leadership opportunities, and community impact involvement. Official volunteer hours and reference letters are available upon successful completion of the term.
No prior teaching experience is required. Training and continued support are provided.
Thank you for your interest in Empowering Korean Immigrants (EKI). After submitting your application, please wait for a response from our team by email at volunteer@empoweringkoreanimmigrants.com.

We appreciate your patience and interest in supporting our community.
