    About the Role

Peach Corps Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented, trustworthy, and mission‑aligned Volunteer Bookkeeper to help strengthen our financial infrastructure as we transition from a volunteer‑led organization toward compensated staffing. This role is essential to ensuring transparency, accountability, and readiness for grant funding — especially as we expand our reproductive‑health equity work across NYC, Pittsburgh, Lakeland (FL), and the Raleigh–Durham region.

The Bookkeeper will support the organization’s financial record‑keeping, help maintain compliance, and ensure that our financial systems reflect the care and integrity we bring to our work with communities navigating PCOS, Endometriosis, Adenomyosis, chronic illness, and trauma‑informed wellness.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date financial records, including income, expenses, and reimbursements
    • Support reconciliation of accounts and monthly financial reviews
    • Assist with preparing financial documentation for grants, audits, and reporting
    • Track program expenses across multiple regions and initiatives
    • Help organize receipts, invoices, and financial files in secure digital systems
    • Collaborate with leadership to strengthen internal financial processes
    • Ensure confidentiality and sensitivity when handling financial and organizational documents
    • Support the transition to more formalized financial systems as the organization grows

    Qualifications

    • Experience in bookkeeping, accounting, nonprofit finance, or related fields
    • Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Wave, or similar) preferred
    • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with care
    • Commitment to trauma‑informed, culturally responsive, and gender‑expansive values
    • Understanding of or interest in reproductive‑health equity, including PCOS, Endometriosis, and Adenomyosis
    • Comfort working in a volunteer‑led environment that is building toward compensated staffing
    • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with leadership

    What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone who is:

    • Reliable and consistent
    • Comfortable building systems from the ground up
    • Patient and supportive during organizational transitions
    • Able to work with care, confidentiality, and integrity
    • Passionate about community wellness and reproductive‑health equity

    Why This Role Matters

As Peach Corps Inc. grows, our financial infrastructure must grow with us. This role directly supports:

    • Grant readiness
    • Organizational stability
    • Transparent governance
    • Multi‑site program expansion
    • Future staffing and compensation planning

Your work will help ensure that our programs — especially those serving Black, Brown, Asian American, LGBTQIA+, gender‑expansive, and chronically ill communities — remain strong, sustainable, and grounded in care.
