Help with wildfire recovery efforts. We will have two projects that volunteers can choose from to help restore the popular Los Leones Trail and nearby day use area so it can be safe to open back up to the public. The first group will work to rebuild trails that were lost in the Palisades fire. This work will involve clearing the trail of resprouting vegetation, regrading trail tread, removing burned trail edging, and reconstructing approaches to trail footbridges. A second group will focus on removing invasive species that have popped up after the fire and planting of California native plants.

We will meet at the Los Leones Trailhead. Volunteers should park in the lower parking lot as we will be working in the lower meadow day use area. From Pacific Coast Highway, take Sunset Boulevard for 3 miles and turn left onto Los Liones Drive.
We will have signs directing you to the correct lot. Uniformed staff and event leaders in golden caps will be there to greet you.
