Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program: Volunteers help advocate for residents who live in local long-term care facilities (Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing Facilities) by monitoring their care and treatment. Ombudsman volunteers conduct routine facility visits to interview residents about their care and to receive resident complaints. Volunteers also educate facility staff and residents about Resident Rights and the Ombudsman Program.
This is a very rewarding position, knowing that you help inform and empower residents and their families while ensuring their rights are respected. Extensive ongoing training is provided. Costs of background check is covered by Davis County. This opportunity provides semi-flexible service hours.
