Grant Writing Partner — Work Directly With Our Fundraising & Sustainability Chair

Legacy Paws Rescue is looking for a hands-on Grant Writing Partner to work directly with our Fundraising & Sustainability Chair to identify funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals, and help secure the resources we need to grow. This is a collaborative role for someone who can do the research, write the grants, manage deadlines, and follow opportunities through—not just hand us a list of grants to pursue.

We're building a different kind of rescue, focused on prevention, education, and supporting both ends of the leash. We need funding to build sustainable programs, support the dogs in our care, and create meaningful change for dogs and the people who love them.

You'll work together with our Fundraising & Sustainability Chair to research grant opportunities aligned with our mission, assess eligibility, develop proposals, gather supporting information, track deadlines, and help manage submissions and reporting requirements. You'll have a partner to collaborate with, but we need someone willing to take ownership of the writing and follow-through.

We're looking for a strong writer and researcher who can tell our story honestly, connect our work to funders' priorities, and translate our vision into clear, persuasive proposals. Experience with nonprofit grants, foundation research, and grant reporting is important.

If you want your writing to do more than sit in a document—if you want to help turn funding opportunities into real resources for meaningful work—we'd love to connect.
