Foster Program Partner — Work Directly With the Executive Director

Legacy Paws Rescue is looking for a hands-on Foster Program Partner to work directly with our Executive Director to build and manage a foster program that works for both dogs and the people caring for them. This is a collaborative, roll-up-your-sleeves role—not just creating guidelines, but helping recruit and support fosters, coordinate placements, solve problems, and make sure dogs and people aren't left struggling without support.

We're building a different kind of rescue, one that believes a successful placement starts with understanding the dog, the household, and what both need to succeed. Foster care isn't just a temporary place for a dog to land. It's where we learn who that dog really is, help them feel safe, and prepare for a thoughtful, lasting match.

You'll collaborate with the ED to build practical foster processes, recruit and onboard foster families, coordinate dog placements, maintain communication, troubleshoot challenges, and help ensure fosters have the guidance and support they need. When something isn't working, we don't disappear or leave people to figure it out alone. We work through it together and determine what's best for everyone involved.

We're looking for a compassionate problem-solver who can balance the needs of dogs with the realities of human lives. Someone who can build relationships, communicate honestly, follow through, and help turn ideas into a program that actually works.
