The organization is seeking Public Relations Specialists who will be responsible for building and maintaining a positive image for the company. These specialists will establish and maintain relationships with consumers, communities, employees, and public interest groups by writing press releases and other media communications, responding to information requests and press conferences, and coaching representatives on effective communication with the public and stakeholders.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Respond to requests for information or press conferences from the media or designate a spokesperson or source of information.
Establish and maintain relationships with consumer, community, employee, and public interest groups.
Write press releases and other media communications to promote the organization’s mission.
Plan or direct the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stakeholder views of the organization's agenda and accomplishments.
Coach representatives in effective communication with the public and employees.
Study the organization's objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote the organization’s mission, ideas, and services.
Prepare and edit organizational publications, including employee newsletters and stakeholders' reports, for both internal and external audiences.
Update and maintain web content.
Confer with managers to identify trends and group interests, and provide advice on business decisions.
